Terms of use

- Ledger is free while it is in beta, with no sign-up.
- Its results are suggestions. Check them before you rely on them.
- Upload only data you are allowed to use, and don't try to overload or break the service.
The service
Ledger, by Chronorisks, reads a general ledger and reports whether it can be trusted, its balances, entries worth a second look, and what customers and suppliers owe. It is offered free of charge during a beta period, without an account. We may change it, limit it, pause it or end it at any time. If we introduce accounts or paid plans, we will announce it on the home page before it applies.
Results are suggestions
The checks are automatic. They can misread a column, flag entries that are fine, miss entries that are not, or age balances wrongly, especially when the file has no due dates. Every result, and the Excel report, is a suggestion for a qualified person to review. It is not accounting, audit, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace your own review procedures.
Your files
Your files stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to produce your report, as described in the privacy page. You confirm that you are allowed to upload them.
Fair use
To keep the tool free and fast for everyone, there are limits on file size, lines per ledger and uses per hour and per day, and a report is stopped if it runs too long. Don't try to get around the limits, run automated or bulk requests, probe for weaknesses, or upload anything harmful.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Chronorisks is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service or reliance on its results, including lost profits or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws named by Chronorisks in a future update of this page. Until then, the law of the place where Chronorisks is established applies.
